The Caribbean is a region that insists on its own pace. Each island carries its own accent, its own colonial past, its own particular shade of water, and moving between them is like reading the same story told by entirely different voices. On foot you find the texture that the beach misses, the painted port towns, the hilltop forts, the market stalls where the smell of spice and salt air arrive at the same time.
